Walnut Tree House, Great Chishill
We are working with a family in Great Chishill, South Cambridgeshire, to reconfigure and extend their Victorian home, which takes its historic name from a mature walnut tree on the site, for how they live now.
Visualisation of the new contemporary kitchen extension showing new bespoke timber sliding doors that open up views to the countryside beyond.
The kitchen has been reworked and extended with the small half-height windows above the sink being replaced with full-height bespoke timber sliding doors to maximise views out to the garden and the countryside beyond. A separate lightweight timber frame glazed sunroom extension sits at the other end of the house bringing daylight into the once dark living room. A first floor extension adds a bedroom and completes the reworked plan.
The new master bathroom is divided into zones by tiled feature partitions, defining and framing each area.
